Step 1

Determine Your Eligibility

  • Student or Artistic Talent Schemes – for long-term students or individuals with exceptional artistic achievements .
Step 2

Prepare Required Documents

Typical documents include:

  • Passport bio-data page
  • Valid Employment Pass or S-Pass copy (if applying via PTS)
  • Six months’ payslips and appointment letter
  • Employer’s business profile
  • Educational certificates and transcripts
  • IRAS Notice of Assessment for the past 3 years
  • CV/resume
  • Marriage/birth certificates for family members (if applicable) .
  • If applying under GIP, you’ll need additional documentation demonstrating business credentials and investment capability, as defined by EDB guidelines .
Step 3

Submit the Application via ICA’s e-PR Portal

Log into the ICA e-PR system using SingPass.

Complete all required forms with accurate personal, professional, and family details.

Upload all documents in clear PDF format, in English, and within ICA’s size requirements .

Step 4

Pay the Application Fee

A non-refundable fee of S$100 per applicant (~₹7,000) must be paid online via the portal .

Step 5

Await Processing

Processing time typically ranges from 4 to 6 months, but could take up to 9–12 months depending on complexity and volume .

Be patient, and monitor your application status through the portal.

Step 6

Receive ICA’s Decision

If approved, you’ll receive an In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter via the e-PR system.

The IPA will outline the next steps, including medical examination and appointment for formalities .

Step 7

Complete Post-Approval Formalities

You must complete the following within the specified timeframe:

  • Medical Check-up – usually at designated clinics.
  • ICA Issuance Appointment, where you:
    • Present original documents,
    • Pay additional PR issuance fees:
      • Entry Permit: S$20
      • Re-Entry Permit (REP): S$50 for 5-year validity
      • PR Identity Card: S$50 .
  • Make arrangements for CPF contributions if applicable (for working PRs) .
