Register Upon Arrival
Within three days of entering Austria, register your residence at the local registration office
Collect Your Red-White-Red Card
Once approved, pick up your card from the issuing authority in Austria. This card permits you to reside and work in Austria for up to two years.
Consider Future Steps
Before your Red-White-Red Card expires, you can apply for a Red-White-Red Plus Card, granting extended residence and unrestricted labor market access. After five years of continuous residence, you may be eligible for long-term resident status.
