Choose your investment stream
Two streams:
- Growth Stream: Invest NZD 5M over 3 years, 21 days in NZ over 3 years
- Balanced Stream: Invest NZD 10M over 5 years, 105 days in NZ
No English test requirements, minimal residency days.
Meet eligibility criteria
Provide:
- Evidence of legally sourced funds
- Valid passport & health checks
- Police certificates
- Fit & Proper person test
- Family relationship documents if applicable
Submit application
Apply online with full documentation. Application fee approx. NZD 27,470.
Get Approval in Principle (AIP)
INZ processes within ~11 days. After AIP, you have 6 months to transfer funds and begin investments. Extension possible if justified.
Make & maintain your investment
Invest in approved assets. Maintain investments for full period:
- Growth: 3 years
- Balanced: 5 years
Acceptable investments: equities, bonds, managed funds, commercial property, philanthropic donations.
Fulfill residency days
- Growth: 21 days in NZ over 3 years
- Balanced: 105 days in NZ over 5 years
Demonstrate compliance
Submit updates at milestones, confirm investments & residency days.
Convert to Permanent Residency
Apply after completion of investment period and meeting all conditions. Get travel rights & indefinite stay in NZ.
